Having bought (via kickstarter) one of Nicholas’s pens, I was really won over by the high quality of it, you really feel the “handmade” work and the care taken in the perfect finish. I am a graphic designer, therefore very sensitive to aesthetics, but also to the handling of the pen to draw, Nicholas’ pens perfectly fulfill these 2 functions, suddenly, I hastened to order 2 others on his site. 100% satisfied, to buy with your eyes closed …

The message for the “disposable culture” and bespoke nature of these pencils really spoke to me as an architect.
I was very excited to receive this pencil and it ticks all the boxes for me in terms of design, durability and offers the illusive .9mm thickness! The design is timeless and I plan on using it for many years to come. The aluminum model is light weight and just feels great and balanced in the hand. I feel that this is the best investment I have made in a pencil and every designer should experience this kind of quality. Thanks Nicholas Hemingway for devoting so much to this niche of the design world!
I leave you with this quote form one of my favorite architects: “I prefer to work with the looseness of a pencil rather than the precision of ink or a computer” Thom Mayne – Morphosis
